In Called to Love (Image Books, July 31, 2012) Carl Anderson, chairman of the world’s largest Catholic service organization, and Fr. Jose Granados discuss the philosophical and religious significance of “the theology of the body” in language at once poetic and profound.
On the Beauty of Love and the Splendor of the Body
As they explain, the body speaks of God, it reveals His goodness, and it also speaks of men and women and their vocation to love. Now in trade paper, Called to Love brings to life the tremendous gift John Paul II bestowed on humanity and gives readers a new understanding of the Christian way of love and how to embrace it fully in their lives.
CARL ANDERSON is CEO and chairman of the board of the Knights of Columbus, the largest Catholic family fraternal service organization. As Supreme Knight, he has helped the organization achieve new heights in charitable giving. He holds degrees in philosophy and law, and has five kids with his wife Dorian.
FATHER JOSE GRANADOS, D.C.J.M., is Assistant Professor of Theology and Philosophy of the Body at the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family. He received his Doctorate in Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University, and also has a Master of Science degree in Engineering.
